Welcome to Lancaster Youth PONY Baseball League!

General Season Information:

• Registration fees cover jersey with number, hat, insurance, field rental fees, background checks on all of our volunteers, baseballs, chalk, umpire fees, and required equipment which includes but is not limited to helmets and catcher's gear. 
•  A $3 Transaction fee is added to ALL registration payments and installments of payment plans. This goes to Sports Connect, the operator of our website, and we have no control over this fee. This fee is non-refundable.
•  Spring Season will include weekday and Saturday games with some variation for the Foal Division. This will vary based on the number of teams per division.
•  Spring Season will have a minimum of 12 scheduled games for ALL divisions.
•  Fall Season games will be held on Sundays. This may vary based on the number of teams per division.
•  Fall Season will have a minimum of 10 scheduled games for ALL divisions.
•  Board of Director and/or Managers/Coaches, cannot guarantee placement of any player on a specific team.
•  Lancaster Youth PONY Baseball League is not responsible for when/where the Manager/Coach chooses to hold practices, and participation at practices is not mandatory, but highly encouraged. 

Refunds/Cancellation

•  If you wish to cancel your registration, you may do so up until teams are formed and/or drafted.  A refund minus a $40 processing fee will be issued.
•  Refunds do not include the $3 transaction fee paid to Sports Connect for transactions made online at lancasterpony.com.
•  NO REFUNDS will be issued after teams are formed/drafted.

Division Prices / Age Range

• Age range and prices for each division is listed below.
• Divisions are based on a player’s “league age”, which is their age on April 30.

**Please note, we do not allow players to play down/below their age division.  This is for the safety of the players in the division. However, players may play up/above their age division at the discretion of their guardian.  

NEW AGE VERIFICATION / SIBLING DISCOUNT POLICY

• ALL players must have their birth certificate uploaded to the registration page, whether you are returning or new.  If player and parent last names do not match, please include any supporting documentation to verify guardianship.  Example documentation includes adoption, custody paperwork or marriage certificate.
•  Players will not be placed on a team until age is verified. 
•  Currently, sibling discounts are not available.

COACHES WANTED

• Our league is completely dependent on volunteers, and some of the most important volunteers are our Managers/Coaches. We are always in need of Managers/Coaches. If you would like to be considered for a position as Manager/Coach this season, please register when prompted during registration of your child. All people wishing to hold a volunteer position within Lancaster Youth PONY Baseball League must be approved by the LYPBL Board of Directors.

MANDATORY TRAINING FOR ALL VOLUNTEERS

• Concussion, Sudden Cardiac Arrest, and Abuse Awareness for Adults is required for ALL volunteers.

• Once completed, please download completion certificates and email copies for each course to [email protected]. Managers/Coaches who have not completed courses and emailed copies of their certificates to Lancaster Youth PONY Baseball League will not be able to participate in team draft or receive their team rosters.
•  Certificates are valid for 2 years so make sure your certificate is valid through June 2024.

BACKGROUND CHECKS

Effective 2020, PONY Baseball requires ALL volunteers (Managers/Coaches, Team Parent, etc.) to submit to a background check. 

LYPBL considers the safety and well- being of the youth in our program a top priority. Therefore, we continue to require a background checking program to include all team personnel over the age of 18 that come into contact with players. All volunteers will be required to get an Electronic Fingerprint Submission performed using the California Department of Justice Live Scan system. Once you have cleared Live Scan there is no need to clear it again for the following seasons. 

Your failure to participate will make you unavailable to coach and interact with LYPBL. If, on game day, no team personnel have had a background check performed, the game will be forfeited.
